Once the private olive press of the noble Controni family, the mill continued producing some of Lucca’s finest olive oil until 1997. During its restoration, ancient terracotta jars used for oil storage were uncovered, offering a rare glimpse into Tuscany’s agricultural heritage. Today, the villa blends authenticity with comfort, offering a warm atmosphere where history, landscape, and elegance come together in perfect harmony.
